For: Veterinary nurses and technicians

3 months, from July 03, 2015 to September 30, 2015

Course description

Anesthesia is one of the areas in veterinary medicine which has much advanced in recent decades with new beneficial drugs, protocols, and technologies having entered the veterinary health care market and created challenges also for veterinary nurses and technicians who have to cope with this progress in veterinary health care. To better understand the involvement and challenges of veterinary nurses or technicians in the anesthesia care of animals, the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine conducts a survey among RVTs, CVTs, LVTs, RVNs and CAHTs. The aim is to explore the current involvement of veterinary nurses and technicians in anesthesia care in a broad spectrum of veterinary care facilities and to use that data to develop a continuing education (certificate) program in veterinary anesthesia and analgesia that meets the requirements and challenges of veterinary nurses and technicians in today’s veterinary health care system. By answering this survey, responders will help develop training programs that promote and advance anesthesia & analgesia care that animal patients truly deserve. From the survey participants who provide a valid e-mail address three will be randomly drawn and receive a gift certificate. NARKOVET CONSULTING encourages veterinary nurses and technicians to participate in this survey.
